IEEE Microwave and Techniques Socity Delhi Section
IEEE is the world's largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.IEEE and it's members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications, conference, techonolgy standards, and professional and educational activities.
MTT-S is a techincal society comprised of more than 11,000 members worldwide. The core purpose of the socity is to foster the advancement and application of RF and microwave theory and techniques.
Members of MTT-S are engaged in research, devices, circuits, components, or systems.
To train a large number of students in the RF area and set up low-cost RF laboratories at various institutes. The initiative for providing 50% subsidised membership for new students joining IEEE MTT-S in 2010 as well as setting up scholarships for students/faculty who present papers at IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, EuMW, and APMC.
This section has organised 13 techincaland 4 administrative meeting in year 2009.
Prof Koul received the highest recruiter award in Region 10, having recruited 256 new student members and 162 new full MTTS-S members.
