About

Ulrich L. Rohde, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Dr.Ing.h.c.mult is a professor of technical informatics, Microwave Systems, Universität der Bundeswehr, Germany; staff member of other universities worldwide; partner of Rohde & Schwarz, Munich, Germany, as well as chairman of the board of Synergy Microwave Corporation. Formerly professor of electrical engineering at George Washington University and the University of Florida, Dr. Rohde has also consulted on numerous communication projects in industry and government. He has authored over 350 papers, 6 books and holds 35 patents. His prime interest is in Microwave Systems, from the signal at the antenna to the demodulation. In 2014, he joined IIT Delhi as Honorary Professor in the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics. He is one of the editors of “Fundamentals of RF and Microwave Techniques and Technologies”, Springer, 2023. In 2022 he was the recipient of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Photonics Society Engineering Achievement Award. The award is for outstanding engineering achievement in the field of optoelectronic signal generation and optical measurement equipment for next-generation intelligent optical networks. For his pioneering contributions, The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) inducted Dr. Ulrich Rohde as a fellow of the Academy.

Proakis, published in 2003, as well as nine current books as listed:
